Is it legal to sell my FTX claim?

Yes. Bankruptcy claims can be sold. The sale is recorded with the US bankruptcy court under Rule 3001(e), and once the 21-day notice period passes, FTX pays future distributions to the buyer. We prepare the paperwork. Local rules differ, so if in doubt, ask a lawyer where you live.

Where do I find my FTX customer code?

Log in to the FTX claims portal (claims.ftx.com) and open My Account at the top right: the Unique Customer Code is right below your Account ID. FTX also sent every scheduled customer an email or letter with this code from Kroll (ftxnoticing@ra.kroll.com). It isn’t a password, so it’s safe to share with us.

Can I sell if I live in mainland China, Macau or Russia?

Usually yes. The block is at step 8, the payout, not on selling the claim. We confirm eligibility during KYC. We can’t buy from sanctioned persons.

How do you set the price?

It depends on the claim class and amount, what FTX has already paid, and how long it will take us to get paid. The final price is fixed in the agreement before you sign.

How and when do I get paid?

In USDT or USDC to your wallet. The payment date is written in the agreement.

What becomes public?

The notice of transfer is a public court filing. Before you sign, we show you exactly what will be filed.

What if FTX pays more later?

After the sale, future payouts on the claim go to the buyer. You get a fixed price now, whatever happens next.

Do I need a lawyer?

No, but you’re welcome to have one review the agreement.

Will you ask for my password or seed phrase?

Never. Not for FTX, not for Kroll, not for your wallet. To pay you, we only need your wallet address.
